“One thing I did not think of when I purchased this item is that there is no way I can get to the back of the tv to attach any additional cables, etc. I am feeling around in the back of the tv; so frustrating! Is there any way to pull the tv out farther.”

Dry run your cables HDMI etc... prior to hanging, out some some zip ties in place, hang run tighten. It works
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No way to pull it out. Tilt it all the way one direction and you should have enough room. Only downside to this mount, I would probably get one that extends out next time
