“Answers say this mount will work for a TV with a 200mm x 200mm Vesa Mounting Standard, which matches the 55" Samsung I'm considering. But the mount's specs say 400mm x 700mm. Will it work?”

Answering my own question: measurements can be varied on this mount, up to 700mm (27.5 inches) wide by 400mm (15.7 inches) high, according to the specs. So 200mm by 200mm worked fine. My new 55-inch TV had the same VESA measurements as the old 39-inch one on this mount, which made it easier. Horizontal measurements depend on the location of a TV’s screw holes for the mounting brackets. Vertical measurements are limited somewhat on this mount because of a handle to lock the mount’s tilt in place. It blocks the middle screw holes on those mounting brackets. I was able to squeeze in a screw under the handle to get my 55 inch placed at just the right height on my wall — a few screw holes below the ones I used for my 39-inch TV.
