“No sound when used in surround sound receiver It works fine when plugged in from cable box - hd transmitter - tv. But when I run it throught cable box - surround sound receiver - hd transmitter - tv, all I get is video feed but no sound. I have a smart tv... Not sure what to do...”

Most likely the Surround Sound receiver is stopping the audio, as it may be set to just send video to the TV like a computer monitor, and handle the audio through the surround sound speakers.
