actually i was having the same issue - asked my install guy - apparently i had the volume knob on the side of the subwoofer turned up too high from when we were testing out the system. Once i turned it down the thumps stopped. haven't had a problem since.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same issue. I returned one set thinking it was defective after testing out the subwoofer. I had the same issue with the second set and returned it the same day. I didn't want to put up with the annoying thump and the subwoofer shutting down, so I gave up the idea. I have had two sets of the Rocketfish wireless surround sound system for a number of years with no issues. One is even transmitted into a non-powered Bose subwoofer that feeds into the two cube speakers and it works great.

My subs are 600 watt 15" units with an auto shut off. I had first attributed the popping to the auto shutoff. I can bypass the auto shut off manually and in doing so had the same result. I then began troubleshooting transmission threshold presets (factory designed and out of consumers control) and found the issue. The units are made to transmit louder than desireable levels. If not loud they turn off and on intermittently (intermittent transmission based on the content you are listening to) thus causing the highly annoying boom. Honestly. The way these are built, they are cra p. The manufacturer should be well aware of the issue as they should have corrected before marketing. But that is presumtive...I am presuming they tested the product at some point. So, for product development I can say without hesitation that RocketFish su cks . In sum, crank it up high, rock and enjoy.
