The xg mobile is a dock so you do not need to buy another
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no benefit of the Charger Dock if you are going to use the XG Mobile dock. This is to allow the internal video to be outputted to an HDMI input using the internal APU's controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ROG XG Mobile Radeon RX 6850M XT provides the same functionality as the ROG Ally Charger Dock and much more. If you plan on purchasing the XG Mobile, there's really no reason to spend more money on the ROG Dock unless, for example, you wanted to connect your Ally to a TV via HDMI at a friend's house but didn't want to bring the XG Mobile along. The Ally does come with a 65w charging brick, and most other aftermarket USB C docks that provide a variety of connectivity options (such as multiple USB, HDMI, and Ethernet ports) are totally compatible with the Ally and cost less than the ROG Dock.
