If your TV has an HDMI input, you should consider purchasing the ROKU for an HDMI connection and purchase an HDMI cable. The HDMI cable will allow your TV to broadcast 1080i high definition picture quality if the program is being broadcast in that picture mode. If you don't have an HDMI input on your TV, consider purchasing the ROKU with AV cable. You will not receive 1080i high definition picture with that cable. That will be standard 420p on your TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the age of your television and the quality of your internet signal. I have one of the last tube type and first HD TVs. The AV cables gave me pretty good reception. When I tried an HDMI cable, it was a little better, but not much. Then I upgraded to a faster internet connection, and wow! The picture is so much clearer and sharper.
