• No need. Roku 3 will send video+audio to your TV via HDMI. Once you change input source to Roku, TV will stream audio from Roku 3 to your soundbar.

• It is not necessary to connect sound to Roku.

• connect it to the TV with an optic cable. you do not need to connect it to the roku

• The Roku 3 has a single HDMI output - audio and video in one cable. Since your sound bar is hooked to the TV audio outputs, it should operate normally.

• The Roku is an input device for your TV. The sound output will still be through the sound bar. I have a similar setup but with different brands and it works without a problem.
