No usable memory for storing media. To the best of my knowledge, the SD card is only for storing apps/games (at least while using official firmware).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The SD card is not used to store movies, only to expand the Roku's internal memory for more channels and apps. There is a USB port, which can be used to connect to a USB drive (either a flash drive or external portable hard drive) and you can store your movies on that and view them via the Roku. It doesn't record media, so the movies will have to be from your own media source or downloads.
