Unfortunately, all flat-screen TV's have poor viewing from the side (remember, they are not 3D). How well you can see the screen from the side depends on the angle you are trying to view it from, Up to maybe 35 or 40 degrees (from centerline) viewing is fine; beyond that you progressively lose both color and sharpness. It's physics so there's not much that can be done about it.
