In my area, I use a basic external antenna (rabbit ears) that has a coaxial cable. I get perfect coverage for Los Angeles local channels. CBS, KTLA, ABC, PBS, Fox, NBC, etc. You might want to look for a digital external antenna for best quality. Hope that will be the same for Houston area, good kuck!
