“I've had a Roku TCL tv in the past, but the remote was very finicky and you had to point it at just the right angle for the tv to get the signal. Has this issue been fixed, and you don't have to hold it just right and point it perfectly to work? Thanks!”

Hi Broc, great question! The remote included in this Roku-branded TV is our Voice Remote, featuring RF technology. While an IR remote must be pointed directly at your TV to function, an RF remote connects over a wireless network. You'll be happy to hear that this means it does not have to be pointed directly at your streaming player or TV to work. Happy Streaming!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have any issue with this on my TV. I use both the App and the remote that came with my TV. Only flaw I sometimes have with the remote is the Text to talk is sometimes a bit slow but that could also be a network thing.
