• Hi, StockQs ! The Roku Express will work on most TVs or Projectors with an available HDMI input. You will also need a WiFi connection for initial setup and to stream content on your Roku Express.

• HDCP support on the HDMI is required for some streaming apps, and I am unable to Google whether the M40 has HDCP. Otherwise should work if you have a power outlet nearby. (Needs power too.)

• As far as hooking it up to a projector yes an HDMI is all that is needed. But don't forget you have to have a good wifi connection, and a wall socket close by.
