“Can you use a subscription channel on your Roku that you are not subscribed to on your cable TV plan. Such as DIY channel. We have a cable subscription but that channel is not in our lineup. Is there a free version of DIY shows?”

I think you will need a subscription to view channels that require that on roku. I could be wrong.

I know that you cannot view a channel on Roku unless the channel is either in your cable subscription or you sign up for that channels streaming service. Don’t know about DIY channel but we did get STARZ streaming for a few months to follow one of our favorite programs. We had to pay for that service. Roku has free programming on its own channel as well. Go online to DIY website to see what streaming options they have.
