You didn't do anything wrong. You get a 30 day trial of Hulu with the device.

Please try again later.Maybe you can try this: go to advanced settings try a factory reset and it will remove all accounts and when that’s done make sure that you don’t miss signing into your amazon account when adding channels again because you possibly missed that step when adding amazon so it thought that you didn’t have an account with them thus stating the 30 day trial.
