I use the Roku to watch Spectrum in our bedroom on a Visio 46” tv. It works well. You just have to download the Spectrum app and use your WiFi to connect.

Yes you can use a Roku to eliminate the digital adaptor, but it isn't this one he needs, as you need an HDMI input and this questioner does not have a digital TV. So no HDMI inputs. The roku stick is one of the few streaming devices that supports the spectrum app. In my case I have one spectrum dvr receiver on my main TV and I have roku stick on the rest of my televisions.

As of now, there is not line/device fee for using these apps with Spectrum or Xfinity. Shouldn't be an issue for you but the app is blocked if trying to connect from outside Charter/Spectrum service area. In that case you'd need to install several apps for each network. You'd lose the traditional schedule live content grid as well as live local broadcast channels with local news content.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Spectrum app is no longer available on Roku TVs. Older TVs are grandfathered in, but if you purchase a new ROKU TV, you will not be able the Spectrum app and many of the channels you pay for will not be available for streaming on your Roku TV
