Not much longer than the time it takes your TV to display a picture after you turn it on. I wouldn't consider this an issue. When turning on my TV, it took my TV 10 seconds to display a picture and another 15 seconds before I saw the Roku Home screen with all my channels ready for selection. That's when I already had my TV source selected to the Roku's HDMI port and my Roku already set up, which you have to do the first time you use it. I really like the stick being powered by the TV's USB port. The stick is not powered when the TV is off and you don't have to use an AC outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Device takes about 10 seconds to boot up. I have it this way on a TV that is fairly slow to boot up and the Roku always loads faster than the TV itself. You might be lucky, as there are TVs that keep power on the USB ports even when the TV is on Standby. In that case you'll have an instant on effect with the stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When tv is off, usb looses power. Roku looses memory and will have to reboot when tv is turned back on, should take a minute or so. OR use the wall plug and leave it plugged in and it's good to go---
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just a few seconds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have four TVs all with the Roku stick. The Roku is always on and just goes into sleep mode when I have the TV on free channels or the kids are playing PlayStation. They have never lost charge and I have three different brand TVs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not timed it, but it doesn't take long at all. I use the same method to power it up. It is MUCH faster than my Sony BluRay player was.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not long and less than a minute.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The "boot" up is pretty much instantaneous once your TV is on. Also, an AC adapter is included with the streaming stick for those that may not have a USB port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.by the time your tv is finished booting the device itself will be booted as well the unit does come with a usb adapter to plug into outlet if you want constant on
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My current stick boots up in under 45 seconds so the new one will probably be even better. Best choice of all the streamers
