• Not sure about the remote for the Roku Stick, but with my Roku 3 as soon as your headphones are plugged in it stops playing sound through the TV.

• I have the Roku 3 with the ear phone accessible remote also. The sound only comes out of the remote. It's nice when watching movies when my kids are sleeping.

• If you plug in the headphones, then the audio will only be heard through the headphones. If you don't plug in the headphones, then audio will be heard through the TV in the room.
