• Hi, Mousetrap351! You do not need an Amazon account to set up your Roku device. You will need to set up a Roku account but it is free and all you will need is your email! Now, you can get an Amazon account and use Amazon Prime via Roku.

• You don’t need an Amazon account but I believe you will need a Roku account. You wouldn’t need an Amazon account unless you want to use the Amazon Prime Video app on the Roku device.

• You don't need an Amazon account, but you do need a Roku account which is very easy to setup. Unlike the firestick you are not inundated with adverts on the Roku.
