Hi, Bill! With Roku you only have to pay for what you prefer. Roku does offer plenty of free content including the Roku Channel which has free Live TV, movies and the Roku Originals.

You just have to have some version of wireless internet. So, you pick your provider and your wireless router. Most companies allow you to use your own router that you bought or lease one from them.
