• It seems to vary between generations. It would be handy if they can make those programmable, but I have a feeling that networks pay for placement there.

• Hello Willy! I apologize you aren't satisfied with the preset buttons on your remote. You can always purchase the Roku Voice Remote Pro which gives you two personal shortcut buttons so you can set one for Hulu.

• That is a great question for the ROKU management. My best guess is that the shortcut buttons are a premium option for the streaming service to purchase from ROKU so their service is then placed on the physical remote. I just move my favorite tiles in the Roku menu to the top for easy access.
