• Roku must have Internet connection in order to streaming video. If you do not have home internet and want to use your mobile phone, your mobile phone must have capacity “hotspots “ function. Turn on your mobile phone hotspot and connect your Roku to your own hotspot for streaming. The video quality may reduce depending your data streaming limit by your phone provider, but it would work!

• Yes, you can- but you only be able to stream attaching a external HD on the USB port (remember that heavy power-need devices will need a power hub)

• I'm not sure about your question but I do know that I can stream from my phone to the Roku just like a Chromecast would. That was one of the reasons why I purchased the Roku Ultra and also to watch on my TV instead of my phone. Enjoy.
