It will do neither of those functions. Currently the only way to view recordings on a steaming device with Spectrum is to use an Apple TV and have your account coded for cloud dvr. The recordings will only be available on the Apple TV or other Apple TV’s in your home. You will not be able to view them on the cable box. Your favorite channels are set per cable box or streaming device. If you wanted to have the same favorite channels on all devices you would have to set them up on each box/device.

However, it is my understanding you should be able to access your DVR (recorded shows) on your Spectrum Box and Roku devices, they might need to flip a switch or something on your account, certainly worth a call.
