“Is it my Unit or is the range of the remote finder function terrible? Changed batteries, reboot system and updated software but Remote finder doesn't sound if it more than 3 ft away from unit. What is the remote finder range? Is it Wifi, IR, RF? TY?”

Ultra unit has approx 48" power cord so no batteries are needed in unit. Remote does have batteries included. Range of WiFi is great (50-60 feet), however we are using direct connection to Ethernet cable. Unit is RF thus have unit connected to back of TV with no line of sight for remote is required. Remote is easily "paired" with TV for on/off and volume, plus works well though TV for SONOS sound bar/speakers. Have used remote 20 feet from TV.

I am pretty sure that during the set up process, one of the options is to select between IR, WIFI ect. If you have it set on IR which stands for infra red, then the remote has to be able to physically see the unit. ( I did not choose that option ) My controller works from well across the room.
