QuestionGuys, are you sure that the hose length is 40inch? It sounds too short. My old air conditioner has a 55 '' hose and is barely long enough. The bottom of my window is 36 inches from the floor, so I will not be able to connect a 40 inch hose.

- Answer Antonio, this portable air conditioner comes with an installation kit with purchase that includes a window slider attachment and an exhaust hose. This exhaust hose (tube) needs to be connected to the back of the unit and vented out of a window!
