It is one molded piece. The screen protector is a separate purchase.

The clear case just snaps on to the underside of the iPod. If you think you need protection for the screen, you will need to order that separately. I just use the clear case on mine. The screen protector is a thin sheet of material that you apply to the screen only.

I only received a bottom part. The description did make it seem like you were supposed to receive both a top and bottom part. And I had to buy a pack of screen protectors separately. Not pleased with product.

That is correct, it only has a bottom. I ordered a super shield for the top part of the ipod. It will protect the glass from breaking.
