Yes, the case extends (slightly) above the edges of the screen. I doesn't extend above the edges of the camera. I do keep screen covers on both the face and the camera which I think help. This is a pretty thin case and scratches a little but not too noticeable. I've used it for a few months and it seems to work well enough so far. It was not easy to find a case for this phone.
