Make sure you have the right USB port. If your Chromebook is issued by the school the admins may not allow this device to be plugged in, if this is the case there are very inexpensive Chromebooks that are designed to give to kids! be sure you have a website to record that audio. Do a google search for "audio recording online" and you will find websites that let you record audio and download it. Hopes this helps!
