“Can you use the metal riser when you use it as a regular microwave?”

• The instruction manual says not to. It says "Use the the rack for grilling only. Do not use when microwaving". However, since the rack is circular, it shouldn't cause sparks and the machine has a "Combine" function designed to purposefully subject the rack to microwaves. So the "don't use when only microwaving" instruction might possibly be due to the risk of getting burned by how hot the metal could get.
