Franklyn, the door is 13 5/8in tall. This is just the door. You can see there is a band above the door that is fixed. I took some pic's of my install so you can see how it sits into the cabinets. I wanted to protrusion out of the side cabinets to be as little as possible, its only 2.5" sticking out. The entire unit hangs on a back galvi rail and has two anchor screws that go in through the top of the unit from the above cabinet. This holds the unit up and in place. Pretty easy to install and remove, need two people though. Hope this helps.
