I did not have to install a vent. It comes with a 2 speed vent below the mircrowave.

I just installed this microwave a week ago and it’s very clear in the install guide that you can rotate the blower Motor inside the unit. Easily done via a couple of screws. This then allows you to use the provided charcoal filter to have the unit vent inside. It won’t work as well as being outside vented but if you don’t have that option it’s the way to go.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not too sure about local or state building codes where you are at, but this microwave is able to be vented back into the house. This is what we did. You need to do this prior to install or you have to remove it from the wall, but it's fairly simple. It involves flipping the motor around so the unit vents back into the home, and you just install a charcoal filter (comes with one when purchased) in the front of the unit.
