Regarding your concern, yes, this can be silenced. You can use the Sound On/Off feature to mute the microwave. It is usually part of the Options or Settings menu. QuestionHow well does this actually work to prevent all this grease from building up all over my kitchen? I don’t have a top cabinet. Can I install a shelf above the stove and mount this to it? Note: I only have one stud to use above stove. weight?

- Answer I would say if it’s not going to be outside vented it’s not going to do a great job removing smoke/grease from your kitchen. Most non outside vent options just rely on a small charcoal filter for this purpose and it isn’t enough if you regularly cook. It’s still better than nothing.

- Answer Check the breaker panel for a tripped breaker. Also check the outlet it is plugged in to; see if it is a GFCI outlet that is tripped.
