Yes it will, here's some additional info & pictures for you: 1) Avoid Samsung. Ours died "like new" after the warranty expired with light use. Replacement parts cost more than the microwave. 2) Almost all of the microwaves extend comfortably beyond 12" cupboards, but there is a potential problem. You don't want door hinges to be next to the microwave. Let me explain. If the cupboard hinges are next to the microwave, the door face collides with the microwave at 90 degrees. Because the cupboard door hinges are so close to the microwave, the door puts a lot of leverage and pressure on the door hinges when they collide. The hinges will either break, or the screws will come loose, unless you're extremely careful. With our son doing dishes, ours were doomed. In about two weeks the hinges on the cupboard next to the microwave were breaking loose. SOLUTION: for all kitchen designers! Make sure the opening side of the cabinets are next to the microwave. We turned the door around, placing the opening side near the microwave, and the hinges away from the microwave. It's usually very easy to flip the cupboard door, unless you have installed knobs on the cupboard doors. Fortunately, we hadn't installed knobs yet. My wife was concerned it might look weird, but it the knobs blends right in, and it's not obvious. The way the microwave sticks out also limits access to our spice cupboard on the right. 3) The non-LED lights are completely useless for cooking. It's like cooking in the dark with a small candle for light. Suggest you buy a model with LED lights, or replace the bulb with an LED bulb. Searching for a replacement bulb on the model you intend to buy will tell you the socket you need, and whether or not you can find a LED replacement. Push in bulb vs socket, etc. 4) Determine how you plan to vent the microwave - either back into the kitchen or outside. Outside will require considerable vent routing, and pre-planning, etc. I've posted some pictures with our replacement LG, but the Samsung was the same exact size
