Thanks for your interest in the ME18H704SFS. This and other Samsung over the range microwaves are designed to be mounted under cabinets that are at least 30" above the cook top, which leaves about 13" between the bottom of this unit and the cooking surface. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The space needed for the microwave itself is 16.5 inches in height and 30 inches in width. Please keep in mind that prior to mounting the microwave, you need to rotate the fan according to your vent setup. Instructions are clear on this though.
