Does it have an exhaust output that will connect to my home vent that vents outside? I have an existing, through the ceiling vent, that vents through the roof, to the outdoors. Can this unit be connected to the external vent pipe or is it recirculate indoor only?

external vent is possible.

The ME18H704SFS can be set up to vent externally through the top or back of the Microwave, or it can be set up for recirculated venting.

Over-the-Range Fingerprint Resistant Microwave with Sensor Cooking if this does have an exhaust output that will connect to my home vent, that vent outside. Regarding your concern, this microwave has 3 kinds of ventilation which you can choose from. The 3 types of ventilation are the following:

1. Outside Top Exhaust (Vertical Duct)

2. Recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless)

3. Outside Back Exhaust (Horizontal Duct)

It can use your existing top vent or it can operate in ventless configuration. It matched up to my existing top vent just fine.

It connects to the outside vent pipe... but only works to exhaust if the FAN WORKS, which mine gave out after 1.5 years...
