Does the SMH1816 use the same mounting bracket as the earlier SMH7185? I'm buying a replacement for my SMH7185 and it'd be nice if the SMH1816 uses the same bracket in the same exact position on the wall.

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I don't have the templates available from the SMH7185 to determine if they're the same as the those for the SMH1816. If you do still have the SMH7185 templates, check the ID number that's printed on them (they should start with "DE68-"). The ID numbers for the SMH1816 are DE68-03142B for the rear wall template, and DE68-03843A for the top cabinet template. I've attached pictures of these for your reference, but please keep in mind that these pics are not sized appropriately to be used as actual templates. - Ms. Samsung
