“Does the SMH1816 use the same mounting bracket as the earlier SMH1815? I'm buying a replacement for my SMH1815 and it'd be nice if the SMH1816 uses the same bracket in the same exact position on the wall.”

Thanks for the question. The SMH1815 is not a valid model number, so I'm unable to tell you whether the SMH1816 will use the same mounting template as your earlier over the range microwave.
