Hi, Yes this can be mounted to any upper cabinet. It is designed to be mounted over the stove/oven due to the overhead vent for exhaust, but not required. It just bolts into a upper cabinet for mounting purposes. A template is included to drill the holes in the correct spots. Hope that helps.

Just make sure you've got a little muscle power when you do the installation... It's a beast!. It did however, go in like a charm... Pretty intuitive to run it as well..... We're very happy with the purchase!
