“Does the fan stay on automatically or can it be turned off? My old microwave had an automatic fan that was super loud & could not be turned off. It stayed on (annoyingly!), until all heat was gone under it! I hated that noise!”

Hi there, We wanted to thank you for sending this question. The vent fan on your over-the-range microwave is useful for keeping smoke and steam clear from the microwave. It will even turn on automatically if the microwave gets too hot. To minimize automatic fan operation, use adequate-sized cookware and use high heat on surface units only when necessary.
