• You can flip the exhaust fan to configure your exhaust depending on your kitchen situation, vent internally, out the back, or out the top

• There are instructions about moving (rotating) the fan to exhaust inside. It was easy to do. Read the instructions

• The top gets closed off and it vents to the inside from the front on top of microwave.
