I'm so sorry for the confusion, and I'd like to help straighten it out for you. First, I'm providing this link (https://bit.ly/3ygWc2X) to the user manual for this model. Page 29 begins the section on using the control panel. For this model, the temperature is displayed by the number of lines lit up next to the freezer or fridge buttons. If just one line is lit up it is set to the warmest temperature setting, but if all the lines are lit up, it is set to the coldest setting. You can adjust these settings by tapping either the fridge or freezer buttons until the desired temperature is set. ^Jecca
