“hi. was wondering have tried and tried to link my rear speakers to my sound bar. how or what is the best way to do this, have followed the instructions. and still no luck.. and susgestions would be awesome.. and thanks.. tophat..”

This soundbar only works with the SWA-8500S rear surround speakers. You must hold the 'vol' button on the soundbar remote for about 10 seconds to see the 'ID set' to sync with the rear speakers. The instructions say to hold the 'vol' button for 5 seconds.
