That's because when you change the speaker output you are forced to then manage the volume via the selected speakers. You have to manage the volume with the soundbar remote instead. It's very annoying and i don't understand why Samsung couldn't program their smart TV remotes to work with their own soundbars but if you want to use the soundbar you are now stuck with 2 remotes. I might look into buying one of those popular universal remotes that can manage a bunch of different devices just to see if i can program my TV, direct TV, and sound bar all from the same remote because at this point I'm losing track of what remote does what. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I linked mine to my LG smart TV and linked in settings so the sound bar is the TVs sound default. It works without an issue. Powers off with TV and TV volume controls the sound bar.
