Unfortunately, 2.1 soundbars have some difficulty spreading the sound around. When you have a true 5.1 surround sound system, dialogue will always come out of the front center speakers and the ambient noise/music/SFX will go through the other surrounding speakers. If you're just using a 2.1 ,like a soundbar, all of that sound becomes centralized, making dialogue hard to hear. This soundbar has a "Surround Mode" on the remote and you can turn in on/off. Doesn't really make that much of a difference, though. These come with separate surround satellite speakers, which can definitely help as well (I think an extra $100 purchase).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This soundbar will solve all your volume problems. I spoke with Samsung and all the bigger and newer tv's don't have a high volume which almost forced us to get a sound bar to get the volume we are used to. This soundbar set is awesome you won't be disappointed. My boyfriend can't hear in one ear and believe me he CAN hear with this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was having the same trouble (age 84) and decided to try the soundbar. It really helps and I recommend it highly!! I purchased the 4 Series IHW-M450 and am completely satisfied!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately I don't know of a technology that minimizes music while enhancing dialogue. I suggest a visit to Best Buy and request some assistance with an audio specialist there. Perhaps they can demo some examples of this problem and offer a solution. It may require a Geek Squad visit to your home. I'm sorry you're having this problem. Good luck!
