Hi Nitronut, the TV speakers should turn off when a different audio source is chosen. If they aren't you should consider contacting the TV manufacturer for advice on adjusting the settings. Thanks, ^Scott

You should consult your televisions service setup manual to learn how to access, and assign your sound out put settings. most new televisions have the ability to allow you to choose between different speakers and or combinations of speaker outputs, You should find an on screen sound menu referencing how to use digital/analog settings for your televisions internal-speakers, or Bluetooth(your Samsung sound bar). which functions separate or together with some televisions internal speakers.) You also might check you-tube for a tutorial on sound setup for your particular television brand. Hope this helps.
