“Ice maker stopped producing ice. Video and manual say to lift the compartment and remove it. There is no clearance to lift the thing. It's flush with the top of the fridge. It doesn't pull straight out and there are no knobs or release mechanisms. ???”

I bought this model in 2019. The ice maker didn't produce enough ice even when it was working. It would sporadically start to produce few ice cubes then just stopped altogether. and like you stated in your question, we can't figure out how to remove the front! So frustrating! Have you or anyone out there found an answer to this??
