The compressor will cycle on and off as long as the internal temperature is holding at the set temperature. ^Jecca

• Have to stand up right next to it to hear it cycle on and off and keep the room very quite, nobody talking. Holds a temperature you can set in three compartments or you can chose default in all three. Never hear it come on or when temp is reached go off...... I don't usually stand close enough and the A/C vents Blowing in the kitchen make more Noise.
