“Can hinge covers be removed? What is their purpose (what exactly is underneath)?”

Hi BusyMum! The hinge covers are mainly for appearance sake. They provide a uniform look, and hide the door hinges. On the dispenser side, it also covers the wiring for the dispenser and helps to prevent wear and damage to the wiring. ^Jecca
