  • QuestionIs the color true stainless steel? In some photos the fridge looks dark and in others it looks like the normal stainless steel color. Trying to match with other appliances that are not Samsung but GE brand.

    • Answer I bought the refrigerator as a gift for a friend. I was able to go by there today to see the fridge’s color as opposed to his GE products ( dishwasher, stove, and microwave). Great coincidence that he had GE appliances as well. His kitchen is very small. The fridge is just a bit darker than the GE appliances, but he does not mind at all. He loves the side by side, no handles to take up extra room, the front access of water and ice, and the surprise that the front of the fridge has the ability to put magnets on. The GE fridge only had the option on the sides of it. Hope that helps!

  • QuestionThe water dispenser doesn’t flow into the glass? It’s shoots it in front of the glass so you get wet. Is it a sensor dispenser? What r we doing wrong?

    • Answer the filter for water/ice is located discreetly (but with easy access) in the lower right corner of the right side (refrigerator side) next to the crisper drawer.

  • QuestionDoes the water filter setup require a Samsung filter that has a RFID chip in it like some manufacturers do? And is there a block off plate that can be used if I chose not to use a filter?

    • Answer Hi Mike, Security and quality of Samsung products are always a top priority with us here at Samsung. Let me get and answer your question about an RFID with the Samsung water filter. At this point, Samsung water filters do not have RFID chips installed in them; however, please use our Authentication Tag that comes with the filter to make sure your filter is a genuine Samsung filter. Most Samsung water and ice dispensers will work without an AquaPure water filter installed. The water filter housings are designed as rotary valves that allow the water to bypass the water filter whenever there is no filter or the filter is not in the locked position. Leo

  • QuestionWhy does this show up when I filter out anything with a width greater than 30 when it's over 35? Same problem with dozens of products. What's the use of the filter if it doesn't filter anything?

    • Answer The total depth of the refrigerator is 28 inches. The main body is 24 inches. The edge of the main body fits flush with the counter top and the doors protrude past the counter top to allow the doors to open.

Allow 2.5" of clearance on hinge side when installing to a wall. 1" minimum clearance at rear for proper air circulation and water/electrical connections. Allow a 3/8" minimum clearance at sides and top for ease of installation. I understand you want to know the water psi needed for the ice maker on your Samsung Refrigerator. For the ice maker to operate properly, a water pressure of 30 to 120 psi (206 to 827 kPa) is required. If the refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 30 psi / 206 kPa), you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.
