Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gotta use the filter, its part of the system, BUT if you have a house filter, it may not need as frequent changing. The filter light comes on at 6 months, I waited for a year to change the filter ( two person household, no kids), and had no problems. The owners manual states to change filter if the water comes out slowly . I use the same size glass for water each time, and I know it takes 8 seconds to fill with a new filter, so if the time increases that means the filter is clogging up some. You have to turn off the water supply to change the filter.
