“I have seen reviews that state the smart features on this TV are slow to respond. From those that have bought this TV, if you had to do it over again, would you still buy this TV or would you by the "dumb" version and connect a Roku like device to it?”

It is not really slow to respond. It is like a computer in that it has to power up first. I added an Amazon Firestick to my regular TV and got most of the same channels. But I did not get internet access like I get with this Smart TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd still get it. It's not THAT slow to respond we just live in a world of instant gratification and nobody likes to wait. When you turn the tv on, if you immediately hit the smart button it gives you a message to wait so I'll try again after like ten seconds and it's usually good to go. Not a big deal to buy another piece of equipment.
